In June 2023, the Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy (NCLC) had the Reel Quest crew return to create a new video for their summer 2023 fundraising event. This year, the theme of the video was “Accelerating the Pace of Conservation: Conserving 30% of Connecticut’s land waters by 2030.” We spent three days in Kent, Connecticut and the surrounding towns interviewing experts for the video as well as filming b-roll. We discussed some pretty heady topics, most centered around climate change, but also got to visit the largest hop farm in Connecticut (and sample some beer made with said hops) as well as some of NCLC’s signature properties.
